How to apply

Choose your course

Choosing what to study is a personal choice and we’d encourage you to select what interests you.

When choosing your course, you should consider the following:

  • Admission requirements including any additional requirements such as admissions tests and interviews.
  • Certain courses (such as medicine and other health courses) may also contain inherent requirements that you must meet during your course of study. These requirements will be listed on the course page where relevant.
  • Some courses have earlier closing dates and will be listed on the relevant course pages.

Once you’ve decided on what course you’d like to apply for, note the course name and code for your application. You can find this on the course page under course details.

Course pages also explain any selection requirements and help you plan what to prepare.

Apply online

Once you’ve selected your pathway, you can apply online. Application open and close dates apply to some courses. Depending on the type of applicant you are, you will either apply direct to LIT or through the Tertiary Institutions Service Centre (TISC).

Year 12 school leavers

All current year 12 school leaver applications should be submitted through TISC. This includes early offers applications. Follow the TISC applying online guide for detailed steps on the process.

Non-school leavers and year 12 international students

  • Create a profile in LIT Apply and log in to get started.
  • Select your course, entry pathway and upload supporting documents.
  • Save or submit your application.

Accept your offer

You’ll receive the outcome of your application via email. If your application is successful, you can log in to LIT Apply to accept your offer.
