Hugo, a Juris Doctor student and member of the LIT Student Athlete Development Program, has launched Running Aimless For A Reason (AFAR) to raise $25,000 for the Leukaemia Foundation, while also attempting to set a Guinness World Record for the fastest blindfolded marathon. The Leukaemia Foundation raises vital funds to help cure and conquer every blood cancer. Funds raised are used to support those living with blood cancer as well as research into treatment for the disease. The Leukaemia Foundation has the goal of ensuring no lives are lost to blood cancer by the year 2035. Hugo is an experienced Triathlete, finishing 6th in his division in the Busselton 2020 Ironman 70.3, and 5th in his division in the 2021 event.
